Memoria es Resiliencia (Memory is resilience). Reinterpretation of an installation for the Paul Cézanne Prize 2022, originally presented at La Mostra 2019, Faculty of Design, ORT University, Uruguay.(Materials: bricks, plants, soil, and brick dust).Dimensions: 16.5 cm x 1.20 m x 20 cm.

Resilience
Adaptation capacity of a living being in the face of a disrupting agent or adverse condition." (RAE) My work aims to shed light on this concept, advocating for its hopeful stance in which the memory of traumatic events aligns with our will to overcome. By intervening with bricks, an artificial building material, with wild plants that grew between the tiles of my patio, I seek to generate this reflection.
Will the plants survive between the cracks of those forgotten, worn, and weathered materials? Just as we overcome those adversities and traumatic memories?
